Karachi, March 19: Minister for Information, Municipalities and Forests Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that training of officers plays an important role in enhancing their capabilities as well as improving the performance of the concerned department. He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the capacity building program for officers of the Information Department. Secretary Information Rafiq Ahmed Burro, Secretary Transport Shariq Ahmed and all the officers of the department were also present. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah urged the officers to make full use of this training program so that they can use their capabilities in a better way. The Secretary Information said that on the instructions of the Minister of Information, special attention is being paid to the use of social media. He further said that the process of reforms is underway in the department. In this regard, a series of advertisements has been started to be displayed on the department’s website so that transparency in their issuance can be maintained.
