DIRECTORATE OF PUBLICATIONS KARACHI
The scope of the Publication Section has been redefined under the changed vision the section has taken up the task of publication of magazines & books to highlight policies, program, activities, and achievements of the government.
In addition to the regular publication of monthly magazines “Izhar” (Urdu) and “Paigham” (Sindhi), the publication section has assigned importance to bring out special publications on different occasions whenever required. Since April 2008 several Special Issues on Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Shah Latif, Sachal Sarmast, Shah Inayat, Sooriah Badshah, 14th August, 23rd March, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto have been published.
Magazines are being distributed in Government Department, Libraries; press Clubs and Divisional & District Offices of Information Department.
Publications Section, Information Department, Government of Sindh was responsible for Publication of Monthly magazines Izhar in Urdu and Paigham in Sindhi, in the past since its inception.
Media explosion and the unprecedented freedom require dissemination of Information about Government Policies, development and matters of public interest, and nobody could afford to withhold of Information.
This Directorate has brought out 19 Special publications, besides, 27 regular publications since April 2008, 07 Books & 02 Telephone Directories of Sindh Government.
